We depart from your hotel and head for Hermanus. This scenic tour takes you over a spectacular mountain pass to the seaside town of Hermanus. This town, nestled between mountains and the sea, offers some of the best shore based whale watching opportunities in the world (August - November) where the whales and their young come very close to the shoreline.
Visit the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden with its bird and plant life. You can do some land based whale watching from Hermanus and its surrounds and possibly join a boat-based whale-watching (for your own account / subject to availability) This is seasonal (September – December).
Time permitting we will stop for a wine tasting in the Hemel-en-Aarde region which is home to our top chardonnay and pinot noir wines.
